Because we express non-verbal language subconsciously, instinctively, and instantly, body language never lies.  What is seen determines much faster people's opinion of us than what is said or heard. Studies show that it takes 13 milliseconds to form an impression about someone. It takes 8.2 seconds to determine if there is a physical attraction. The average length of gaze to decide if there is no connection between people is 4.5 seconds. 92% of the decision to engage or not is made within seconds of the first impression.

Nonverbal language is the first language we learn. The mirror neurons in our brain have a particular task to record facial expressions, body language, and the actions of others in an attempt to decode the context of behavior. A six months old baby does not understand the concept of love intellectually but smiles back at her mother, mirroring the mother's facial expression. Later, that smile, the facial expression, and the tone of voice of the mother when she says, "I love you" to her child will be associated with the concept of love.

Whether we aware or not, we all react to verbal and nonverbal messages. But just because we're unaware of it, it doesn't mean others haven't picked on it. Microexpressions flash across your face in less than half a second, but that's enough time for an emotionally intelligent person to realize things are not what they seem. Nonverbal communication dramatically affects people's perceptions. Knowing the true nature of whom you are dealing with, can impact and deliver the desired results of any human interaction.

Facial recognition software, your location, and online activity is constantly monitoring and collecting data about you. Have you noticed how your friends are being tagged automatically when you post a group photo? The tech industries were quick to realize and utilize the incredible power of reading people's moods,  reactions, and preferences by using facial scans to profile you. If they know how you react, they can control your actions and behavior.

Facial recognition and body language scans are not only used for personal identification. In fact, the reason to create such software was to read the emotional responses of buyers when they view products. 

People who have the natural ability to decode the behavior of others are considered emotionally intelligent and amount to 1% of the population. Executive management,  human resources, recruiters, and politicians are often required to learn and demonstrate emotional intelligence prior to being assigned leadership positions. Actors and performers are taught how to interpret body language to get into character. Body language experts are often employed by intelligence or law enforcement during integration to recognize deceit.

We will address each subset of the twelve non-contact observations, non-verbal language is only one of them, and help you build a profile based on inference, profound understanding of human behavior, and psychology.
