ESSENTIALS FOR HAPPINESS

  • It is the calm before the storm.
  • Even the tiniest possible step is progress.
  • You don't have to have it all figure it out to move forward.
  • Nothing changes if nothing changes.
  • New beginnings can feel like endings.
  • Beautiful things happen when you clear your life of all the negativity.
  • Stop overthinking. Whatever happens, happens.
  • If it's meant to be, it will happen, at the right time, at the right place, for the right reasons.
  • Your best is yet to come.
Did you know that the root of the word " happens" and " happy" are the same? Both come from the word " hap"  meaning, " in an instance," "Suddenly," "without warning," "upon luck?"
Are you happy?

Don't answer too quickly. There are also many insights that you will miss if you do not sit with the questions for a long time. Give yourself the freedom to allow any answer to emerge.
The lack of happiness in one's life is a wonderfully clear indication that one is not aligned with the truth that is required at the time. Unhappiness is also a sign that one is identified too strongly with the personality and its unconsciousness, and not sufficiently with the life-giving energy of Spirit present within one's soul. You will find out why is it impossible to sustain the feeling of happiness indefinitely and why is that it to your benefit. Mel will explain the mechanics of happiness and its effect on the human body and longevity. Therefore even when we can not sustain being happy all the time, the pursuit of feeling happy should be constant.
What is meaningful is what makes us happy. Since everything without exception can be meaningful, absolutely every experience can be a source of happiness. Creating a category in our minds and emotions of those things which do not bring the joy we block the possibility of being happy all the time. We then process to create specific things- often hedonistic - that we depend on to bring us happiness, but they usually do not. The reason they don't is that we don't see them as meaningful, but only pleasurable.
How do we discover happiness?
  • It comes thought imagination as we imagine possibilities, the potentials.
  • It comes through being authentically oneself rather than following the dictates of others.
  • It comes from following your heart.
  • It comes through being in a sacred space- whatever is holy to you.
  • It comes from discovering the meaning of anything.
  • It comes from discovering the purpose of a relationship
  • It comes from celebrating the gifts and the goodness and blessing of life.
  • It comes when we let go.
  • It comes when we are in the presence of something soulful- art, music, soulful person, a spiritual ritual.
  • It comes through other people- what they say to us, what they ask of us, what they do with us.

"If it breaks from the inside, life begins.

If it breaks from the outside, life ends."
